Allen D. McCravy, MAI

Allen D. McCravy, MAI, is the principal/owner and has worked as a real estate appraiser and consultant with Stone & Associates since February of 1999. He was awarded the MAI designation in March of 2010. Allen is a 1997 graduate of Presbyterian College with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Allen has been a member of the local chapter (SC) of the Appraisal Institute for over 15 years. Leadership involvement with the Appraisal Institute includes Associate Committee Chair, Chair of the Education Committee as well as current position as 2nd Vice President of the SC Chapter of the Appraisal Institute. He has also served on the Board of Directors for the Greer, SC Chamber of Commerce and Vestry member for Christ Episcopal Church.
Appraisal experience consists of various types of income-producing properties, including office buildings, mixed–use properties, industrial properties, apartments, and retail properties. He has extensive experience with eminent domain assignments and valuation of conservation easements. Other expertise includes going concern valuations; specifically convenience stores, lodging properties, and golf course facilities.

Charles B. Stone, MAI

Charles B. Stone, MAI, was awarded the MAI designation in June of 1991, founded Stone & Associates, Inc. in May of 1993, and has 30 years of experience as a real estate appraiser. Chuck is a 1977 graduate of The Citadel with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Additionally, he is state licensed as a Certified General Appraiser in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia, and holds a Real Estate Broker's License in the State of South Carolina. Chuck has also been involved in various development projects, including numerous retail stores, shopping centers and office buildings.
Chuck was appointed by the Governor of South Carolina to serve as a member of the S.C. Real Estate Appraisers Board, served in different capacities as Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Secretary from 1998 - 2008.

J. Melissa Deyoung

Melissa Deyoung joined Stone & Associates, Inc. in November 1996. Melissa is a State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser licensed in the State of South Carolina.
Her appraisal experience consists of various types of income-producing properties, including office buildings, industrial properties, retail establishments, multi-family complexes, and restaurants, as well as contaminated properties, churches, day care centers, single-family residences, condominiums/townhomes, residential and office subdivisions, and unimproved land. With 15 years of appraisal experience, Melissa now specializes in residential subdivision development analysis.
Her appraisal experience consists of various types of income-producing properties, including office buildings, industrial properties, retail establishments, multi-family complexes, and restaurants, as well as contaminated properties, churches, day care centers, single-family residences, condominiums/townhomes, residential and office subdivisions, and unimproved land. Tara V. C. Setzler

Tara V. C. Setzler joined Stone & Associates, Inc. in 2007 after working as an appraiser for Meridian Property Advisors in Anderson, South Carolina for two years. She graduated magna cum laude from Erskine College with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration in 2004. In December 2010, she received her MBA with a concentration in Finance from Winthrop University.
In 2007 Tara obtained her State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser's license from the State of South Carolina.
Her appraisal portfolio includes the valuation of various property types, including but not limited to apartment complexes, manufacturing facilities, residential subdivisions, special purpose properties, retail buildings, churches, office buildings, rental houses, retail strip centers, estates, office/warehouses, and vacant land.

Geoffrey B. Hardaway

Geoffrey B. Hardaway joined the Stone & Associates family in January of 2000 and co-founded Hardstone Development, LLC with Charles B. Stone in August of 2000. Geoffrey graduated from Clemson University in 1992 with a degree in Business Management with a concentration in Real Estate Finance. After graduation Geoffrey worked with Analytical Consultants, Inc. in Chapel Hill, NC where he received his Certified General Appraisers License in 1998. This company merged with Williams Appraisers, Inc. in Cary, NC where Geoffrey was a supervising senior appraiser prior to moving back to his hometown of Greenville, SC.
Geoffrey was out of the appraisal field from 2001 until 2011 concentrating on real estate development. He has currently returned to the appraisal field as a trainee once again while also managing Hardstone Development and its commercial property holdings.

Kay Dillard

Kay Dillard joined Stone & Associates, Inc. in July 2005, as the Office Manager. She also serves as the Project Coordinator on all of Stone & Associates’ appraisal assignments, as well as oversees all aspects of accounts payable and accounts receivable. Prior to coming to Stone & Associates, Inc., she worked thirteen years with one of the larger light commercial/industrial general contractors in Greenville, South Carolina where she served as the Administrator for eight Project Managers.
